It was something different to be asked to photograph a wedding for Hello magazine. Firstly having to know certain TV and sports ‘faces’ and a little bit of royalty which after living here too long I didn’t, getting the selection of photos to them to choose from the next day and then all edited only a few days later. I different rhythm from my normal wedding.
Zoe and Paul love Ibiza( she has visited since a teenager on family holidays) and are friends with the owner ( at that time) of Can Basora so there was no better place for them to get married.
There were definitely magazine ‘necessities’ but this did not get in the way of the wedding being a lovely Ibiza dream bash with all their closest friends and family, which were quite a few. They had a civil ‘humanist’ ceremony in the back garden- drinks and canapes around the pool (most amazing pool ever, designed to look like a beach) and an amazing supper ( by the delicious makers Le Gran Bouffe) on the lawn over looking the view of Ibiza’s north countryside. The finished the meal with a with out a traditional cake but with a bashing of a pavalova to be served as eton mess, with their friend Becky Hill singing Zoe’s favourite song getting everyone up and dancing the night way in the home made inside ‘disco’.
All the amazing planning put together by Peachy at Boutique Ibiza.
